Take the phone off the hook, light some candles, run a hot bath and grab a good glass of red. From the shaman trance rhythms of 'Medicine Trance' to the incredible serenity of 'Spring Dance' (by Music Mosaic's co-founder Ariel Kalma), to the sensual beauty of 'Hadouk' and the mystifying 'Dawn Call', Groove Magic is the ultimate in relaxation and escape. As the beats, rhythms, riffs and loops are dissolved, morphed and transformed into the most serene they can be, you will become totally immersed in the peacefulness that surrounds you. While you drift you will be introduced to the exotic sounds of dumbeck drums (Spring Dance), the e-bow guitar (Summer Solstice), bamboo flute (Sassi), duduk, hajouj, and kora (Hadouk), each exposing you to the wonders that exist beyond circuit boards and gadgets. Once again Music Mosaic has put together an exceptional album proving they are unable to do any wrong. 'Groove Magic' is absolutely wonderful and I can't recommend it enough, especially for all you inner city stress heads out there. |
